Accommodation in Fish River Canyon

Cañon Mountain Camp is situated about 6 km from Cañon Lodge at the foot of picturesque dolerite hills, a real idyll for the self-catering traveller. The building, shaped like a horseshoe, houses 8 en-suite rooms plus a communal kitchen and dining room. The covered grill area is a pleasant meeting place at the end of an eventful day. Hikers also like to spend the night at Mountain Camp before or after their hiking tour through nearby Fish River Canyon (transfers possible on request). Keys to the camp are to be obtained at the reception of the Cañon Lodge. They can use the swimming pool close to the lodge and are most welcome at the restaurant and bar as well.

Cañon Roadhouse Due to its elaborate décor Cañon Roadhouse has acquired a sort of cult status in Namibia: the good old days of the automobile are celebrated in the theme restaurant and bar. Enjoy a slice of our legendary Amarula cheesecake among coachwork arranged with loving care. The geology, flora, fauna and history of the area are explained on display boards at the Canyon Information Centre. Situated directly on the road to the Fish River Canyon, 14 km from the gate to the viewing points, Cañon Roadhouse offers 24 immaculate en-suite rooms with air conditioning, a swimming pool and a petrol station..
Cañon Lodge is situated just 20 kilometres from the main view point of the Fish River Canyon and next to the main road. The lodge consists of 26 bungalows built out of natural rock, thatch roofs and full en-suite facilities.

A restored farm house, built in 1908, serves as the lodge restaurant. The nearby Quiver trees and impressive rock formations cater for the hiking enthusiasts.

Canyon Road House offers 8 en-suite rooms, a la carte restaurant, fully licensed bar, private camping sites, a swimming pool, fuel station and information centre.

Cañon Village lies at the foot of a sweeping rock face in Gondwana Cañon Park. Well-appointed cottages in the Cape Dutch style afford views of the vast canyon scenery. The thatched main building is built right into the massive granite boulders and houses a restaurant and cosy bar. With the famous Fish River Canyon just 20 km away the village is a perfect starting point for exploring the canyon. Dozens of murals depict the history and culture of the Bondelswart Nama, the earlier inhabitants of this area. Relish the peace and quiet and enjoy the views at the 'pool with a view'.
