Camping in Etosha

Onguma Safari Camps is situated on the eastern side of Etosha, bordering Fisher's Pan, Onguma Safari Camps and is one of Namibia's best kept secrets! Here you will be afforded the opportunity of experiencing Africa in all her beauty and diversity. Onguma Game Reserve has more than 20,000 hectares of protected land and wildlife.

Our nature reserve boasts over thirty different animal species consisting of plains game including kudu, giraffe, eland, oryx, hartebeest, zebra, impala and many more roam freely as well as predators such as lion, cheetah, leopard, being common residents of the area.

The latest addition to the already abundant wildlife at Onguma Nature Reserve is a family of black rhinos! More than 300 bird species can also be viewed at Onguma Nature Reserve. During the Namibian summer months the nature reserve becomes a bird-watcher's paradise with thousands of species migrating to the wetlands created by the seasonal rains and ephemeral river systems.

The Etosha Safari Lodge and Camp, formerly known as Eldorado Wildlife, is a reasonable overnight stop south of Etosha National Park. Situated only 10 km in front of the Andersson Gate (Okaukuejo Camp's side) on the road C 38, the camp is easily reachable. Located on a small hill near the Ondundozonananandana mountain range are 22 uniquely designed en-suite safari bungalows. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in a rustic and tastefully decorated restaurant at the foot of the hill. Also provided are a swimming pool, internet café and camp site. At the camp site are large igloo tents with two beds and linen. Campers are also welcome to enjoy the pool, restaurant and internet.
