Amani Lodge is entirely surrounded by the Namibian veld and the wonderful Khomas Hochland Mountains, which offer spectacular 360° views. Set at an altitude of 2150 meters, it is the highest lodge in Namibia. This is an ideal destination for those last few nights of a Namibian self-drive tour, with easy access to the bright lights and amenities of the capital city, whilst within a tranquil, bush environment.

Due to its French owners' passion for Africa's big cats and stargazing, Amani has developed into a home to number of cheetah, lion and leopard. It offers a home and rehabilitation centre to orphaned and sick animals, with the aim to rehabilitate and then re-introduce them into the wild at the earliest opportunity.

For casual stargazers and serious astronomers alike, the lodge has its own observatory building, the Capella Observatory. It's claim to fame is that it has the largest amateur telescope in Africa! Stargazing is exclusively available for guests staying at Amani Lodge, who have a chance to see 'where no man has gone before.'

The main house with a spacious open-sided lapa, boasts a large patio and an outdoor swimming pool. There is a breakfast area, a bar, and a restaurant that serves international cuisine, with a French touch of course! The male lion's roar at supper time, adds to the atmosphere and it is possible to view cheetah through the dining room windows! The lodge's restaurant is open to day visitors for Sunday lunch. Small weddings of between 20 to 25 people, and conferences of 12 to 14 people can also be hosted here.

Accommodation at Amani Lodge, is in a combination of 3 bungalows and 3 double suites, for up to a maximum of 12/14 persons at a time. Each room is tastefully decorated in a French style, with an en-suite bathroom, and great views over the surrounding landscape.

N/a'ankuse Lodge and Wildlife Sanctuary is set on the slopes of a dolomite hill and situated only 42kms east of Windhoek, amidst a natural savannah, riverine vegetation, lush grass plains and magnificent mountain views. This truly unique lodge, sited on 1,500ha of former farmland, offers (malaria free) sightings of lion, leopard and cheetah, on either a nature drive or carnivore feeding tour.

The main lodge building comprises of a bar and tranquil dining room area and kitchen, with stunning views of the surrounding environment. Their team of chefs will prepare a combination of mouthwatering European/African dishes, whether it's a hearty breakfast served in the dining room or outside in the garden, a delicious lunch or dinner served in the restaurant or under the stars. All dishes are prepared using fresh ingredients and home-made delicacies, complemented with fine wines from the bar.

Accommodation is in 6 luxurious en-suite chalets, offering a blend of rich ethnic décor, combined with modern luxury, embellished in soft earthy tones. Each unit has been sited to ensure a maximum view and total privacy.

The animal centre was set up to care for orphaned and injured animals and the less dangerous such as baboons, meerkats, mongoose and African wild cats, are looked after by volunteers from across the world, who pay to stay as working guests. Their time is invaluable and plays an important role in the maintenance and building of new enclosures, feeding, grooming, as well as joining in the rescue and release of animals.

Gocheganas Nature Lodge is situated only 29kms south-east of Windhoek, on a hilltop overlooking a spectacular landscape. This luxury lodge offers a unique combination of wildlife, nature and wellness experiences. There are over 25 different species located on the 6,000ha reserve and Gocheganas is a Damara name, meaning 'Place of Camelthorns, abounding with candle-pod acacias.'

Their restaurant, situated on the hilltop, serves a combination of healthy and nutritious dishes. The lodge also caters for limited conference facilities for up to 15 personnel, and can host private functions, such as weddings and incentive groups.

The Wellness Village consists of 11 specialist treatment rooms, featuring state of the art equipment. Luxury accommodation consists of a Crown Suite and 15 Elegant Suites, all under thatched roofs, with spectacular views of the surrounding environment.

 

River Crossing Lodge is 3km from the Windhoek on the airport road only 5 minutes from the heart of Windhoek and is located on a pristine 6500 hectare game reserve. Rediscover the nuances of a bygone era of farm life with all the modern amenities for the discerning traveller.

The main lodge building comprises a dining room, a centrally situated bar, a lounge (soon with fireplace), a wellness room, a curio corner, and a conference room seating up to 65 delegates.

Nestled outside between the lounge and dining area is the pool (great for swimming lengths – it really is quite long!) The elevated wooden deck offers a fairytale view of Windhoek.

The Lodge and the rooms have been designed to emulate old German farm houses – think "stoep" with "afdakkie" and pots of geraniums.
